How to Cut In
Getting ready for your next painting project? You’ve come to the right place to learn how to cut in with this pro technique.
For Best Results:
For clean lines, use a putty knife to press down firmly on the tape to prevent any paint from seeping behind it.
Suggested Tools & Supplies

BEHR® Paint

Brush (50-65mm / 2"-2½")

Painter's Tape

Step 1Grab your tools.

Step 2Tape off any area you want to remain paint-free (trim, ceiling & electrical sockets).
TIP: It is best to remove the electrical socket frame instead of painting around the frame.

Step 3Dip the brush into the paint and tap off any excess paint.

Step 4With short strokes, paint away from the taped off areas.
TIP: You will want to cut in about 3-4 inches or twice the width of your brush.
