BEHR® Acrylic-Alkyd Enamel Undercoater
For excellent performance under higher sheen paints, choose BEHR® Acrylic-Alkyd Enamel Undercoater. It is specially formulated to have outstanding flow and leveling application similar to oil-based primers, but with easy soap and water clean-up. This product has a quick dry time and blocks medium to heavy tannin stains – making it an ideal primer choice for painting doors, trim, and cabinets.

- Over properly prepared uncoated and previously painted Interior/Exterior surfaces.
- Ideal for Wood, Ferrous Metals, Drywall, Vinyl, and on glossy surfaces or oil-based paint.
- Bright or deep colours require a tinted primer.
- Have primer tinted close to topcoat colour with no more than 118 ml of colourant per 3.78L.
Preparation
- All surfaces should be properly prepared and cleaned.
- Remove loose paint, wash off chalk, dirt, and grease with detergent, rinse and allow to dry.
- Remove mildew stains with a mildew stain removing product.
- Scuff sand glossy and metal surfaces and repair imperfections.
- Remove all dust with a damp cloth, allow to dry.
- FOR EXTERIOR SURFACES: For new or uncoated wood, use a product such as BEHR PREMIUM® No. 63 All-In-One Wood Cleaner.

Application
- Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 2-32°C (35-90°F).
- Use a high quality 6-13 mm nap roller cover, nylon/polyester brush or an airless sprayer (.015-.019" spray tip, 60 mesh filter).
- Stir primer occasionally.
- Do not thin if using a roller or brush; however, if using a sprayer and thinning is required, thin with water at a rate of no more than 284 ml per 3.78L.
- Spot prime patched areas first, follow with a complete primer coat.
- Two coats may be needed over stains and woods that contain tannins.
- On stained surfaces, topcoat in 4 hours, for heavy stains, topcoat in 16 hours.
- Topcoat within 30 days.

If this product is found not to perform as specified on the label during the warranty period, Behr Paint Company will, at its option and upon presentation of proof-of-purchase (the original receipt), either furnish an equivalent amount of new product or refund the original purchase price of this product to you. The clause of limitation of liability which follows is inapplicable in Quebec: This warranty excludes (1) labour and costs of labour for the application or removal of any product, and (2) any incidental or consequential damages, whether based on breach of express or implied warranty, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory.
