COLOUR OF THE MONTH: SUNWASHED BRICK

Living room interior with sofa, mirror and ficus. Color featured on the walls is a warm, light pink called Sunwashed Brick.

February is a month of new beginnings: it represents fresh starts, optimism, and hope. It’s also a cold month, where we’ve put aside the bonfires and hayrides of autumn and cozied up peacefully indoors. Fittingly, we’ve chosen this month’s colour of the month as Sunwashed Brick: a nuanced pink with soft charm.

An open paint can with a half dipped paint brush leaning on top of the can, the featured paint color is a soft pink called Sunwashed Brick.

February is a month of reflection, the season to gather energy and make plans. That way, as the weather warms and the year progresses, we feel ready to take all tasks on in full force. Sunwashed Brick is, thus, a colour that makes sense for this time. It’s a subtle pink colour that is soft, delicate, and tranquil, reminding us that this is a season of peacefulness and repose.

With its slightly dusty undertone, Sunwashed Brick is versatile enough to work with other neutral colours. It helps create a space that feels both a cozy and uplifting at the same time.

Because the pink tone of Sunwashed Brick is not too sweet, it’s a good choice for the trim and door of a dining space. It brings depth, complexity, and dimension without overwhelming the space. It does that with only some subtle colour, and no overly flashy tones that could affect how you feel when you eat or convene with family and friends.
