Ways to Try Paint Before Committing

Now that we have gone through ways to choose colour, we can continue with the next step which is best ways to try colour. After you have your top colour choices you want to then look at the colour chips which you can pick up at your local Home Depot. Colour chips are a great starting point so it gives you a better visual on how the colour looks and you can pick up as many as you need. Feel free to tape them up on your walls that you will be painting so you can do process of elimination with the colours you are thinking about.

After you have the colours even more narrowed down you can then pick up 237 ml paint samples and a small paint brush from Home Depot. The 237 ml paint samples are very helpful because you can paint a patch directly on your wall and you can see which colour you like best at different times of the day. You can paint the colours on different walls to get an even better visual.

If you do not want to paint directly on the walls another recommendation is painting a poster board and moving it around the areas, you want to paint to see how the colour or colours look in different angles. This is another helpful resource so you can commit to a colour before purchasing a 3.78 L container.
